Stagner giving the main discus-
sion. She based her discussion
on the statement that "All chll •
dren are not college material,
but those who are should be giv-
en the opportunity.”
Mrs. Jack Grady used statis-
tics to show the "Influence of
College Life Upon our Child-
ren.”
In answering roll call mem-
bers brought out many Interest-
ing statements on "What I Want
My Child to Learn at College.”

Mr. A. J. Walker was at the
piano. Mrs. Richard Oosncli sang
a solo, "Together,” and Gary'
Dean and A J. Walker Jr. sang
a duet, “Sortie Sunday Morning.”
Mrs. Henry Melton gave a read-
ing.

Walker, B. B. Northcutt, Richard

Program on Civic
Improvements
The Hereford Business and
Professional Women's Club held
Its monthly dinner meeting at
the City Hall Monday evening at
7:30.
After-dinner speakers were
Rev. Uel Crosby, pastor of the
First Methodist Church, and
Pete Oowart, Secretary of the
Chamber of Commerce. Both
men discussed Ideas for civic
Improvement, Mr. Cowart em-
phasizing the coming bond elec-
tions.
A short business meeting was
then held, at which time oom-
mittee reports were given. The
nominating committees sub-
mitted Itsllst of nominees for of-
ficers for the coming year.
Officers will be elected at- the
first meeting In May and Install-
ed at the second meeting to May.

inne Jennings, Lillie Loyd Pott,
Florene Lloyd, Bessie 8mlth, Vel-

Former Resident
Dies in Panhandle
Mr. and Mrs. Lyls Blanton and
Mrs. D. H. Bryant attended fun-
eral services held from the Meth-
odist Church to Panhandle Tues-
day afternoon for Mrs. Esrl
Nunn, a former Hereford resi-
dent.
Mrs. Nunn died Saturday fol-
lowing a recent operation. She
is the former Miss Pearl Golden
and she and Mr. Nunn lived to
Hereford several year* following
their marriage here. Besides
hen husband she leavee one son,
