Corp. Selects Tank Contractor
The Board erf Directors of
the W'ylie Northeast Water
Supply Corporation announc-
ed that on April 17 they
selected Pittsburg Tank and
Tower Company from
Henderson, Kentucky as the
contractor for its new
overhead tank. The 150,000

an overflow level of 134 feet
and will cost $160,000. The
tank site is on Lakeway Drive
and FM 1378, which is in an
industrial park beside the
GTE switching station.
General Manager John Fitz-
patrick stated that the Cor-
poration will sub-let the rest
of the contracts for electrical
work, site work and installa-
tion of additional piping. "It
is the hope of the Board to
utilize as many local contrac-
tors on this project as possi-
ble,” he said.
The site work on the sphere
shaped tower will begin in
May and is expected to be
completed in November of
this year.
“The Board has been work-

years and were all very ex-

he added.
Any questions about the

City Complex Gets Gazebo
The newly installed Gazebo, above, in the courtyard area of the
W'ylie Municipal Complex is a fine addition. The project was
praticall.v "talked to death" over the past two to three years, but
action on the part of the city administration got things rolling
the past few weeks and here it is. All that remains to be done is a
complete paint job.
Collin Park Leased
To Concessionaire
The U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers has announced
that it has leased Collin Park

Col. William D. Brown. Fort
Worth District Engineer, ex-
plained that the arrangement
will mean enhanced recrea-
tional facilities at the lake,
near Wylie. He added that en-

other commercial concessions
in the area, will be charged ef-
fective May 3. The money will
be used by the concessionaire

BRIDGING THE GAP
Q. How are missing teeth
replaced?
A. A technique frequently
employed to replace one or
more missing teeth is the crea-
tion of a fixed bridge. This re-
quires sound teeth on both
sides of the gap resulting from
the missing tooth or teeth. The
purpose of the bridge is
twofold. Obviously, replacing a
gap with a natural-looking
substitute improves ap-
pearance. It also helps to
preserve the adjacent teeth
because, if the gap remained,
these teeth might tilt or "drift"
toward the gap and eventually
loosen.
Creation of a fixed bridge
usually requires two or three
visits to the dentist. The adja-
cent teeth are shaped to receive
crowns, and an impression is
taken. A bridge is created, in-
corporating the crowns and a
substitute for the missing tooth
in a single unit that gives the
appearance of natural-color in-
dividual teeth -- often better
looking than the originals.
An alternative method of
bridging a gap does not involve
the creation of crowns. Instead,
a substitute tooth is bonded to
adjacent teeth by means of
metal clasps.
