Bennett News.
Bennett, Texas, Feb. 19— On Mon-
day afternoon, February 16th, Mrs.
Bob Goen and Miss Berkie Burnette
entertained their pupils with a val-
entine party. Monday afternoon was
the date chosen as school dismissed
Friday at noon for the new seats to
be put in Miss Burnett’s room. The
children were assembled in merry
groups, numbering one, two, three
and four for the pea contest. Sallie
Busby won the prize in group one,
which was a beautiful brown headed
kewpie doll. A bat and ball was won
by Carroll Dodson, of group two.
An official basebal was won by
Luther Osbum, of group three. In
the fourth group which included the
young ladies of the school. Miss Irene
Eiders' won the beautiful blonde
headed kewpie doii,
After the contests were over, a
short program wa» enjoyed. Several
visiting relatives and friends in
Oklahoma, has returned home.
iDlyde Boley is reported to be do-
ing nicely.
