Mrs. Frank Maddox under-
went a medical examination in
a Waco hospital this week.

Celebrate Silver
Anniversary
On Sunday, November 6, at
St. Joseph Hall Mr. and Mrs.
Rudolph Soukup were honored
with a surprise Silver Anniver-
sary Dinner given by their dau-
ghters, Mildred and Ruddie
Marie and other relatives.
The main table was laid with
a lace table cloth centered with
a wedding cake and two floral
arrangements of a mum cen-
tered with a silver twenty-five
and pom poms.
The Soukup’s were married on
November 12, 1935 at the Cath-
olic Church of the Assumption
in West. They were married by
the late Reverend Edward Pol-
cak.
Out-of-town guests were Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Zabc.ik and Alfred
Schneider of Temple. William
Dckupil of Cameron, Mr. and
Mrs. William Nors and Stephen,
and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond

Mrs. H. L. Anderson of Abbott
entertained her daughter, Gina
Beth, with a party on Saturday,
Nov. 5, in honor of her sixth
birthday.
Games were played under the
direction of Mrs. Elmer Cox and
Miss Charlotte Ann Hurtt. Fav-
ors consisting of toy balloons
and party cups filled with can-
dy and gum were given to each
child.

A 4-H recreation training
school was given from 9:30 to
11:30 a.m. Saturday, November
5, 1960 It was held at the Texas
Power and Light Co. Service
Center in Waco, for 4-H Club
members and adult leaders. Two
adult leaders from Moody, Mrs.
Brown and Mrs. Ross conducted
the school. A variety of songs,
active games, get-acquainted
games were taught.

WOLF BADGE AWARDED
CLEMENT CEKVENKA
Clement Joe Cervenka was
awarded a wolf badge and a sil-
ver and gold arrow at a pack
meeting of Cub Scouts recently.
Den 7 won the Honor Den and
the attendance flag.
Clement is the son of Sfc. and
Mrs. Clement Cervenka of Fort
Campbell, Ky. He received the
awards with his father and Den
Mother Mildred Cervenka pres-
ent.
Mrs. Pauline Edwards, who
has been in Galveston for the
past several days undergoing
medical treatment is spending a
few days in the home of her
sister, Mrs. Joe, Cox in Gholson.
Mrs. Edwards will return to
Galveston in a few days for fur-
ther treatment.

home this week after making
two trips to Providence Hospit-
al. He underwent surgery on his
nose.

Hospital last week. She is re-
ported1 doing nicely at her home

ues to improve at her home fol-
lowing brain surgery at Scott
and White' Hospital in Temple
six weeks ago.

Mrs. O. B. Walls underwent
minor surgery on her leg last

She is reported to be doing fine.
