A BIG SURPRISE •'
Chrlstmas^ monifng Clarence,
in a brand new shining Ford clos-

Smith to go driving. The follow-
ing dialogue was held: Mrs.
Smith, No, there is no use, we
could not buy a car now at all."
Mr. Good, Let me show you
how it runs around the block,
anyway, Mrs. Smith.”
Mrs. Smith, "No, it will be
wasting time of both.”
Mr Good, Well then look on
the steering wheel.”
What Mrs. Smith saw was a
Christmas card from her son, pre-
senting the new ear, with the li-
cense paid, and with insurance all
paid against loss by accident, fire,
etc.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith are having
the time of their lives “breaking
in” the new Christmas gift from
E. L. Smith, of Mexia.
Mr. B. D. and Cecil Miller have

Mr. and Mrs. Rov Mooning-
ham and two daughters, Ayline
and Moselle, visited her sister,
Mrs. E. W. Brake during Christ-
