can be quite confusing. How
about that Tinker.
All of the girls were quite
taken by Mr. Duckworth’s new
coat. It was quite an eye-
catcher.
Dorothy Ray, who was that
boy you were seen with Sat-
urday night?
Johnny Ray, why were you
so gloomy Sunday?
It seems Elinor and Bobby
have a bad habit of getting to-
gether after a ball game. . , . ,
We know you felt bad about i jjaisten
it Eobbie Nell, but we didn’t
know it would make you sick.
Cheer up, Bobby it won’t be
long until Easter.

GIRLS SPORT NEWS
The girls played Point Tues-
day night with a victory of
16 to 24. The following Satur-
day night they played Tally
Cadillac Motor Co. and were
defeated 21 to 29. The main
element that caused the Hor-
nets’ defeat was the fact that
the opposing team was larger ( escape. The first time it took
than we were. We are scheduled j 13 minutes to clear the audi-
to play Point on our home court torium and it was reduced to
Tuesday night. 1 7 minutes the second time. Then

MINE OLA. TEX AS ...Ag
Subject came up at Bill Web-
ster's, ti e other day, as we were
chatting over beer and pretzels.
Just who arc the folks who make up
ourtown? Where’d they come from?
Well, Doc Hollister’s Scotch-
Engdish ancestry; Will Dudley’s
folks were mining- stock from
Pennsylvania; Skip Powell’s fam-
ily were brewers back in Holland.
Guess our bloodstream’s got a
bit of every country of the globe—
and every section of America. We’ve
still got differences in taste and
background—whether they apply to
music, history, or beer. Only those
differences don’t matter — because
we’re self-respecting people, in a
free, united land.
And from where I sit. that’s
what makes our towns and cities
— our America — so strong-, pro-
gressive, tolerant. Our champion-
ship of individual liberties has
brought us people from all faiths,
all lands—to prove that respect for
one another’s rights is the greatest
bond humanity can know!
