Two Motorists
Hiit Livestock
T'wo similar accidents oc-
curred near here almost simul-
taneously shortly after mid-
night Sunday.
Both involved livestock. C. A.
Maddox of Fort Worth hit a
mule two miles east of town
on Highway 80, and at about
the same time Billie Bob Tay-
lor crashed into a horse about
two miles south of town on
Highway 69. Neither man was
hurt.
Last Friday morning Walter
G. Lindsey Jr. of Alba hit a
truck driven by M. W. Watson
of Fort Worth about one mile
west of Hawkins. Nobody was
injured.

las Monday to attend the fun-
eral services of the infant baby
of Mr. and Mrs. Travis Tucker.
On Friday night Nov. 22
there will be a play at the
Hainesville school, entitled “The
Man In the Green Shirt”. The
public is invited to be there.
Then there was the girl who
returned the engagement ring
by mail and labeled the pack-
age “GLASS — Handle with
care!”
Chicken Recipe By
County Agent
This menu was submitted by
the County Home Demonstra-
tion Agent, Evelyn Warner.
4 tablespoons butter or other
fat
1 cup chopped celery
1 tablespoon chopped onion
V4 green pepper chopped
Vz cup flour
3 cups chicken broth
V2 to 1 cup cream
Salt
3 cups diced cooked chicken
In the fat cook the celery,
onion, and pepper for a few
minutes. Stir in the flour and
blend thoroughly. Then stir
in the tararorarodarodarodao
in the cool or luke-warm broth
and cream, and cook the sauce
until smooth and thickened.
Season to taste with salt. Add

the chicken. Heat the mixture
thoroughly and serve hot in a
rice or noodle ring, in patty
shells, on woffles, on crisp
toast, or in toasted bread bas-
kets.
Other good ways to serve
creamed chicken are as filling
for hot biscuits in chicken
shortcake, in chicken and spa-
ghetti scallop topp ?d with but-
tered crumbs and browned
in the oven, or as chicken pie
under a lid of biscuit rounds
or mashed potatoes.
