that any connection that may have
existed in the past between the
Masonic order and the Eastern Star
must come to en end. The commit-

might be given to the Star to alter
11constitution in such a way that
no reference be made to its having

and that there be no necessitv tor
the presence of a Freemason at its
ceremonies, and failing its doing so
within a reasonable time, then the
grand lodge could adopt other meth-

mother lodge of the jurisdiction, the
members are proud of her achieve-
ments on whose roster some of the
leaders of the race have been borne
Thev have a splendid corps of Past
Masters, whose knowledge of the
ritualistic work is not surpassed bv
any lodge in the State. The pres-
ent Grand Master, Rev. Wilson, is
a member of this lodge. The pres-
ent Master is L. G Osborne; O. M.
Fountain, secretaiy. The lodge has
an extensive programme for 1927.
Victoria Lodge, F. & A. M.
Victoria Lodge, No. 3, has gained
steadily in members and finance
during the past year, notwithstand-
ing the untimelv death of its W.M.,
Q. B. James. The W;ardens, R.
Bledsoe and Davis, conducted the
business of the lodge in an excellent
manner. This lodge in conjunction
with Hannibal and the O. E. S. *vill
be host to the grand lodge this year
