Henkel Unit, a projected
8,500-foot wildcat, three
jniles west-northwest of
Winchester. The venture'
will be in a 160-acre unit in
Bastrop County's
Elizabeth Campbell Sur-
vey.

to be drilled in the Marsha
Field by Energy1 Equity
Inc. of San Angelo. With
projected total depth of
1,800 feet, it will be spud-
ded in a 240-acre lease of
the Addison Litton Sur-
vey, one mile northwest of
Cedar Creek, in Bastrop
County.

Austin has Hied for permit
to drill the No. 1 Stabeno, a
2,200-foot developmental
well in the Littig Field, Ave
miles south of Elgin. The
operation will be in a 164-
acre lease in Bastrop Coun-
ty's James Standifer Sur-
vey.

Field has been finaled by
Petro-Gas Inc. of Austin.
Designated as the No. I
Monro Stabeno, the well
indicated capacity to
produce 1 barrel of oil per
day on an open choke.
The location is five miles
north of Elgin, in a 164-
acre lease in Bastrop Coun-
ty's James Standifer Sur-
vey.
Bottomed at 350 feet,
the well will produce from
an interval of perforations*
252 to 350 feet. The pay
zone was encountered at
252 feet.

of Corpus Christi has filed
for permit to drill the No. 2
Homer Jordan Unit, a
6,600-foot developmental
well in the Giddings Field,
6.5 miles northeast of Gid-
dings. The operation will
be in a 158-acre lease in Lee
County's William Johnson
Survey.

Teon Energy Inc. of
Dallas has staked location
for the No. 2 Falkenberg
"A" in Lee County's Gid-
dings Field. It is scheduled
for 10.000 feet of hole
making. The location is in
an 80-acre lease in the John
Chesney Survey, about
nine miles southwest of
Somerville.

Malinak and the No. 1
Louise Dube, two
developmental wells in Lee
County's ,Hooker Creek
Field, are scheduled to be
spudded in the Stephen F.
Austin Survey. The
Malinak well is to be
situated in a 100-acre lease
about 1.3 miles southeast
of Old Dime Box. It has a
total? proposed drilling
depth ox 4,750 feet. The
Dube well has an estimated
drilling depth of 5,100 feet
and is to be situated in a
226-acre lease about 1.2
miles southeast of Old
Dime Box.

Holiday Resources Inc. of
Corpus Christi has filed
for permit to drill the No. 1
Schimank Unit No. 1, a
projected 6,500-foot wild-
cat, 3.5 miles west of
Fedor. The venture will be
in a 266-acre lease in Lee
County's Aaron Dodd
Survey.

The Giddings Field
gained a new gas producer
when the No. 1 Hi-Jinx
Gas Unit was completed by
Towner Petroleum Co. of
Houston, seven miles nor-
th of LaGrange.
On a .75-inch choke, the
well showed ability to yield
up to 441,000 CF gas per
day. The absolute open
flow came in at 1,600,oop
CFD. Location is in a 249-
acre lease in Fayette Coun-
ty's James Green & JR
Phillips Survey.
Towner took the hole to
11,040-foot bottom and
perforated for production
10,966 to 10,982 feet into
the hole.
Santa Fe Energy Co. of
Houston has filed for per-
mit to drill a 11,500-foot
wildcat 3.4 miles northwest
of Roundtop, in Fayette
County's A.E Baker Sur-
vey. The explorer will be
known as the No. 1 fid-
ward Mattingly. The
operator has 172-acres un-
derlease.

Sage Energy Co. of San
Antonio has staked
location for the No. 1 Nor-
thrup in Fayette County's
Big 'A' and Giddings
Fields. It is scheduled for
12,500 feet of hole making.
The location is in a 399-
acre lease in the W.J.
Williamson Survey, about
2.27 miles southeast of
Waldeck.
Camp calls again
Two thousand boys and
girls from Hermann Sons
lodges across Texas, in-
cluding the Paige Lodge,
are expected to attend the
fraternal benefit society's
youth summer camp this
season in the Hill Country
near Coaifbrt.
Registration this spring
is running ahead of last
year when a record number
of 1,908 attended.
Some 1,944 junior
members had registered by
mid-May, with many more
applications for
registration forms still in
the hands of parents. Four
of the six sessions for girls
already are Oiled, he said.
