which thirty-one loadt were on through billing
leaving eighty-two car for the market. Sixty-five

and ranged from choice cornfed to slightly warmed
tip mealfed young cattle. Nothing Of 0 toppy na-

common stackers that sold to go back to th coun-
try at 8.00. A few drive-in spring lambs of 48
pounds went to a packer at the contract price of

the entire night. It waa gentle and coplou.
It was accompanied by muoh thunder and

unusually mild. All fear and apprehen-
sion of drouth are now allayed and th
danger haa passed. The refreshing rain
which haa so completely ' saturated the
ground has put a different aspect upon
all farming intereit. Gloom haa disap-
peared and prosperity smile.

17. A nice rain fell here last night which
is sufficient for growing crops. We have
not suffered from drouth her as much a
