year will he elected. It was clearly ap-
parent at the meeting held today at
which President T. S.. Reed . presided
that the present directorate are anxlona
to retire from active duly thla year and
at the same time desire to put the or-'
sanitation in good hands for the coming
year. The situation a somewhat per-
plexing In this reepeet and definite' action
was passed until the next meeting. There
wss a suggestion that to encourage ths
growth and usefulness of the organisa-
tion it would be well to reduce thd mem-
bership dues which are now an annual

The secretary announced that practi-

ment fund had been collected and was

Burglars at Jennings.

Jennings La. January Wl Burglars en-
tered the Jennings Cypres Tank com-
pany building by knocking the lock oft
of a door and after scattering tool and
stationery In every direction left taking
with them a few carpenter tools. Br the
looks of things tHey must have spent
half the night In the building.
Burglar also entered the Oil City Iron
Works shop snd secured a mackintosh
several pair of boots a sweater and
several pairs of overalls belonging ta
workmen. It Is thought that they en-
tered by the aid of skeleton keys.
