Despite the umpire the Nfcvlgators
and the weather yesterday's game was
won In a walk by the Buffaloes the
score being 6 to 1. Mr. Spencer the
official guesser was the recipient of
more choice conversation from the 'ans
and his decisions were worse than those
during Sunday's game. On account of the
threatening aspect of the sky the Navi-
gators naturally made every attempt to
delay the game. In the last of the fourth
with two men out Harbison deliberate-
ly dropped the ball and allowed McCully
to score. At that time It was sprinkling
harder than when the game was called.
With the score standing 4 to 1 In favor
of the Buffaloes four 'full Innings played
and two men out In the first half of
the fifth his umps looked heavenward
waved his hand and called the game
on account of a sprinkle which was not
heavy enough to wet the diamond. Tim
decision was greeted by a roar from the
grand stand and many of the fans
rushed onto the field surrounding him
In a threatening manner. His pedigree
was read from all sides at nine and
for a few minutes It looked like busi-
ness was about to pick up for Mr. Spen-
cer. The shower which was so light that
the crowd In the bleachers forgot to
raise umbrellas. quk'kJy passed over
and when the sun tegan to shine ihe
game had to be resumed.
After play was resumed the Buffaloes
made another score and shut the vis-
itors out. Jarvlns pitched a beautiful
game only allowing three lilts ami hav-
ing excellent control.
Sullivan twirled the first four Innings
Tor the visitors and was hutl.-.l heavily
by the locals. Browning finished the
jram. and made a slightly better show-
