With onlv six da vs. left of ths pre
liminsry gifts campaign and Tuesday
a bolidaf leaving only five working
days the workers will find plenty to
do In making the rounds of -the calls
assigned to them. Ilsny business men
when approached ask the caller to
return later giving the excuse of
"very busy" or "I must think it over"
etc. etc.
To these men J. W. Gvsns director
of the campaign wishes to make s
special plea. "It Is a matter" he
said "that can be dedded in a very
few minutes snd if everyone realised
just bow busy the workers sre in
making calls in the brief time allotted

call."
About 43 workers met nt the ss-
sembly room of the Chamber of Com-
merce Monday night and most of them
reDorted a number of those "call
backs." The great number 'of these
waa aald to be retarding tne campaign
materially.
According to a wire received by
Mr. Evans from Atlanta that dty
already baa subscribed $228600 or
about . 30 per cent of its total quota
in two days of campaigning. Dallas
