who 'Ve been through great war
and the jrvaj. attitude of women holds
true In them all.. . v .
"Woman Is paradoxical but never
more so than where war Is con-
cerned. Loving peace and hating war
women make war because they are
slow to forgive and forget.
"Women may 'sing "I didn't raise
my boy to be a aoldier. but In their
hearta they are chanting the hymn of
hate and keeping the camp Area burn-
ing. "The reason Is simple. . Men must
brave the phyalcal hardships of the
field the sudden death at the cannon's
mouth but whatever glory there is of
war belongs tofthe men.
"The women must stay at home.

their loved ones their husbands eons

and tears of war. .
If women fall Into the hands of the
enemy all wars have ahown there can
be no comparison between the Buffer-
ing of the captured soldier and the
csptive women. .
'Men seem to for; an but the
glory of victory e the bravery of de-
feat. The women remember the Buf-
fering and nurse revenge la their
