B'nai B'rith. to have been held Friday

Lieutenant Speed Injured.
Lieutenant William O. Speed Jr. flying
Instructor at ths aviation field at San
Antonio was victim of a 100-foet fall
from an airplane several days ago and
is now confined at the base hospital
there skfferlna- from minor injuries and
bruises. Lieutenant Speed Is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. William U. Speed of Balti-
more. Md. His farrier is a well known
lawyer there and treasurer of the Balti
more law building. His mother la of the
distinguished old Maryland family of Mc-

The second squadron of Ellington field
cored another success In tha second
dance given Saturday evening at tha
Houston Country club the young hosts
sustaining; the reputation achieved at the
