senate finance committee a proposal
to decrease the fund supplied (or the

He pointed out that the money paid
by Knf land and other unions on their
loans to this country must be applied
under tbe law to the retirement of the
bonds which made possible the loans.
The present law would make it pos-

Chairman Smoot supported Mr.
Mellon's views.
Further consideration will be riven

raised next year to meet the actual
operating expenses of the govern-
