dorf 85 Were recovering Saturday
night from burns received when an
oil.ftlpe line bn the Martin petroleum
lease at Humble was Ignited -Friday

Mr. Martin is owner of the lease on

that statistics compiled by the United
States Bureau of Standards showed
that less than two per cent of the
gas meters In use have run fast while
others ran correctly or slower than
they should have for the amount of
gas consumed.
Seventy-two employes of the com-
pany were present at the meeting.
George Waverly superintendent of
mains and services acted as chair-
man of the meeting. He and Arthur
Givens supervisor of the ' installation
department spoke of the relation of
the gas meter between the company
and the consumers.
