TEN LLANO COUNTY
TEACHERS ATTEND
SUMMER SCHOOL IN S. M.
Ten teachers from Llano County are
attending summer school in San Mar-
cos this summer. They are from all
portions of the county and show by
attending this summer session that they
are interested in doing everything they
can for the betterment of our schools.
The following are the names of these
teachers: Misses Lorna Draper, Lila
Smith, Lois Ozmont, Nora Nixon, Ethel
Scott, Grace Draper, Ethel Jenkins,
Georgia Clinger and Winnie Walker
and Charles Randolph.—Llano News.

Use Simple Words
Literary aspirants should religiously
eschew polysyllabic orthography. The
Philosophical and philological substruc-
ture of this principle is ineluctable. Ex-
cessively attenuated verbal symbols in-
evitably induce unnecessary complex-
ity and consequently exaggerate the
obfuscation of the mentality of the
peruser Conversely, expressions which
are reduced to the furthermost mini-
mum of simplification and compactness,
besides contributing realistic verisimili-
tude, constitute a much less, onerous
handicap to the reader’s perspicacity.
Observe, for instance, the unmistakable
and inescapable expressiveness of ono-
matopoetic, interjectional, monosyllabic
utterance, especially when motivated
under strenuous emotional circum-
stances. How much more appealing is
their euphonious pulchritude than the
preposteros and pretentious pomposity
of elongated verbiage.—Life.
