SUPPORT THE PEDAGOGUE
Since we are going to publish
the Pedagogue, let us all give
our hearty support to the staff
members. They have SOME
work to do and believe THEM,
they will certainly appreciate all
the little things as well as all
the big things, that you turn
their way. We want to make
this year’s publication the best
one that this school has ever put
out. To do this, we have to get
up and work for last year’s book
was certainly a good one. How-
ever, we can carry out our aim
if we but give it a little of our
time and thoughts and help the
editors.
SPORTS
There are certainly some good
sports.in this school among the
girls. When you find students
who will not support the institu-
tion they are now attending, but
support the school they attended
last year, you can say PUNK out
loud and hit the bull’s eye of the
target. In Monday’s game, it
was hard for some of our ex-
San Antonio High School stu-
dents not to yell for their last
year school mates. However,
they showed their loyalty to the
Normal by yelling for our team
or keeping quiet. 15 Rahs for
those girls!

HOW SIMPLE
We all have heard different
stories of how a boy being off at
school for his first time, acted
when making his debut in society.
Of course we believe some of
these tales and disregard others,
however, the following one is a
true S. W. T. N. story.
One beautiful Sunday evening,
when the river was fine for row-
ing and everyone was in a mood
for pleasure, a certain boy who
had never been away from home
any length of time before, de-
cided that he must have a date
and enjoy the pleasure of boating
with some young lady. To ac-
complish this end, he sought the
aid of two boys who boarded at
the same house he did. His
two aids took great pains in get-
ting him fixed up for the evening.
About two p. m. one of the
co workers going to the phone
and without even getting Central
made a fake date in the presence
of the victim. After that, work
was immediately begun to make
the Little-Boy look his best, in
order that he would make a “good
impression with the ladies.”
Dressed in a pair of blue serge
trousers (which would better fit
Jess Willard), a stff shirt, a white
vest of full evening style, stand-
ing collar, a little “go to thunder”
hat, and no coat, the poor victim
started to see the lady with whom
he thought he had a date.
Upon reaching the boarding
house he was informed that he
was unexpected and that the
girl could not receive him as she
was dressed in what he called
“cow-mouner.” Being innocent,
he still insisted that he had a
date. At last his intended lady
love stepped to the window and
made him feel the more foolish
by declaring him the victim of a
joke.
Reader you need not laugh for
you were at one time under the
same conditions. Instead of
laughing go to the poor kid and
tell him that you can symathize
with him.—X. Y. Z.
