jpersof San Marcos.” My an-
j swer to this is that this adver-
| rising does not take the place of
i the Normal advertising in the
; least.
Of course it pays to advertise
in those papers, but they are not
read by the Normal students, and
therefore don’t affect the Nor-
mal trade,
And by the way that Normal
trade is something you can’t af-
ford to miss. They pay cash.
When 600 boys and girls go to
buying, their trade amounts to a
whole lot, especially as this 600
are all buyers of the best kind.
This paper has a good many
advertisements in it this time,
but you will please excuse it this
rime as we had to make th
pay for the paper on ascount or
having no subscriptions as yet.

MR- MERCHANT
This is the first issue of the
Normal Star for this session. It
is, as you perhaps know, edited
and read by the students of the
S. W. T N. Being a student pa-
per it naturally receives more at-
tention from its readers than de
most papers, and for that reason
an advertisement in this paper is
a better investment from a busi-
ness standpoint than one in the
average paper.
Besides this the paper goes to
a class of people who are guided
in their buying only by the de-
sire to get the most out of their
money. Thus the best w ay to
get the Normal trade is to make
them paying offers, and what is
still more important, let them
know what you are offering.
Perhaps you will say, ‘‘I al-
ready advertise in the daily pa-

people you want to trade with.
Adams wants all of the Nor-
mal students to come to his store.
It may be you have an ad in
this issue. If so we thank you:
if not we hope to have one soon.
