He had seen no reason to don a uniform at first, for it
was not his country at war. And when he did enlist, it
was from a greater force than merely being lonely with-
out his boulevard companions. It was the first time in
his life anything but pleasure had actuated him. Why
he changed can only be understood after seeing

5. Be it finally resolved, that we have
a copy of these resolutions placed in
the minutes of the Club, a copy sent
to the Normal Star, and a copy pre-
sented to the President of the College.
Committee: Velma Hamblen, chair-
man; Maggie Schaefer, Louise E.
Lleinatz, L. B. Lockhart, and C. A.
Crabb.
Evidencing their interest in their Al-
ma Mater and things dear to it, the
ex-Normal students of the Tri-County
Teachers’ Institute composed of the
Counties of Williamson, Bell and
Milam, sent to President Evans and to
the Normal Star this week a copy of
the resolutions adopted by them at the
Institute held at Belton. Approximate-
ly 250 old Normal students arc teach-
ing in those Counties and have organ-
ized themselves into a S. W. T. N. C.
Club. The Star regrets that the Sec-
retary of the Club did not send a list
of the members, for old timers here
would doubtless enjoy seeing which of
their old school-mates are teaching in
those counties.
The resolutions expressed confidence
in the Bobcats for a most successful
‘•eason, and especially to clean-up on
Denton in the great Thangsgiving game
to be played on Evans Field during
(he Home Coming. A personal letter
to President Evans was sent along with
the resolutions assuring him of the
Club’s hearty support to any movement
that Normal may undertake, and ex-
pressing a sincere interest in all Nor-
mal affairs.
At the Tri-County Institute Held in
Belton, Normal had a larger represen-
tation than any other college. That
alone shows where she stands and the
class of teachers she turns out. Ap-
proximately 250 ex-Normalites were at
the Institute.
The resolutions are as follows:
Whereas there has been organized an
S. W. T. N. C. Club among the teach-
ers of the Tri-County Teachers’ Insti-
tute, composed of Williamson, Bell and
Milam Counties, the said Club consist-
ing of approximately 250 members.
This club deems it appropriate to send
1 o the Normal Star the following re-
solutions :
1. Be it resolved, that we send greet-
ings to the Faculty and Students of
S. W. T. N. C.
2. Be it also resolved, that we ex-
press our appreriation and support of
the policy that made the Normal
Schools Normal Colleges.'
3. Be it also resolved, that we pledge
our support and cooperation to the
Thanksgiving Day Home Coming.
4. Be it also resolved that we ex-
press our confidence in the Bobcats’
