The bride wore a formal gown
of pale ivory faille. French
lace jeweled with seed pearls
detailed the Empire bodice
and high neckline. Lace ac-
cented the Bishop sleeves,
scalloped cuffs, skirt hem and
train.
The reception was in the
ranch home of the bride's par-

in College Station. Co spon-
sors for the occasion were the
Texas Agricultural Extension
Service and the Alpha Zeta
chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi,
national honorary Extension
fraternity.
Dr. John E. Hutchinson, dir-
ector of TAES, noted that the
group of retirees had accumul-
ated a total of 678 years of
service in helping Texas fam
ilies improve their living con-
ditions.
President of the Texas Coun
ty Judges and Commissioners
Association, Judge Kenneth
Douglas of Corsicana awarded
the retirees special recognition
plaques. In making the presen-
tations, he remarked, "I know
of no more dedicated group
than those involved in Exten-
sion work."
The honorees included Miss
Leila Petty, Swisher County;
Mrs. Reba Stanfield, Montague
County: Mr. E. A. Spacek,
Smith County; Mrs. Louie Jef-
fers, Upton-Reagan Counties;
Mr. W. T. LaRue, Anderson
County; and Mr. Thomas May-
es, Travis County.
Others were Mr. Jack Gooden
en, Madison County; Mr. Don-
ald Gallman, Uvalde County,
Mr. A. C. Clemons, Bastrop
County; Mr. Jesse Adams, La-
Ronny Bumpus, Miss Martha
Hunt, Miss Candy Bader and
Miss Debbie Coates.
Mrs. Coates is a graduate of
Brackettviile High School and
Southwest Texas State Univ.
Her husband was graduated
from Reagan County High Scho-
ol and Texas Tech University.
Hosts for the rehearsal dinner
in Fort Clark Guest Ranch Head-
quarters were the bridegroom's
parents.

To Sponsor Bazaar

Midkiff El Paso Recreation Hall
beginning at 10 a.m. Chili

adults and 35# for pre school
children and may be purchas-
ed from any TOPS member or

here for the Thanksgiving
holidays visiting his parents,
Believing that there's noth-
ing like friends —and there's
no time like Christinas, the
members of die Reagan County
High School Girls' Physical
Education Classes ahve once
more completed the project of
sending gift boxes to die Abi-
lene State School. This is a
project of community service
and joy that was begun about
five years ago.
During this time of the year,
die girls begin to collect gift
items and bring them in for
the Abilene Gift Boxes. Ap-
proximately all the P.E.Girls
participate and are able to do
some good for themselves and
otiiers at die same time.
This year's contest seems to
prove tiiat die third time is
charm. Miss Nita Curry, dau-
ghter of Mrs. Kenneth Hyde of
Big Lake, pictured above, has
once more acquired the lead,
in bringing gifts for tins pro-
ject. She was the top girl
during her Sophomore and Jun-
ior Year and lias again this
year taken the charm for be
ing the "Outstand Smdent"
with the most heart in this pro-
ject.
Fifty students contributed
many items to diis project,
but the other outstanding stu-
dents who did a tremendous
job are Jeannie Light, daught-
er of Mr. and Mrs. W.R.Light;
Jeannine Neill, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs George Neill; and
Karry Tinney, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Dutch Tinney.These
were the leaders of this pro-
ject and really put their whole
self into the true meaning of
thinking of odiers.
Mr. and Mrs. R.G. Lytle of
Big Lake, are helping with the
project in that they will deliver
the gifts to the Abilene State
School. They will be taking
the "over 1000" to the child-
ren of the Abilene State School
Concerning the project, Mrs.
Mary Tatum, sponsor, says,
"It is really great to see the
youtii of our community res-
ponding to the need of those
a little less fortunate than
themselves. 1 am especially
proud of Nita as this is a thing
that is very close to her heart.
She now wears three lively
