It’s the 12th Anniversary celebration
that will make Easter Sunday even more
festive at the Hideaway Clubs. Congrats
on 12 great years! Over at TMC it will be
popular deejay John (Fuzzy)
Carpenter enjoying the flood of
birthday wishes. And believe me, Fuzzy
enjoys a good flood.
Talking about Fuzzy reminds me
that the TMC has been busy enlarging
and improving their bathroom facilities.
Now I’m wet over that idea, and
Donnie will no longer have to wait in
line for the cigarette machine. Naturally,
Miss Ellie bade the old toilets a fond
and unnatural farewell.
The TMC has also opened up the
windows between the front and back
bars to enhance your spring cruising.
This will also come in handy next
Thursday, April 20 at the TMC’s Bear of
the Month Contest which will begin at
11 p.m. And aside from the windows, it
was Jay that was wide open at the back
door (his and the bar’s) with his easy
access boxers last Wednesday. That
evening the first Wet Boxer Shorts
Contest for this year was a big splash,
with nine studly contestants that I would
enjoy having play in my deep end
frequently. I think it was the new pool
that attracted the handsome crowd pool-
side. Chad was on his virgin voyage
across the TMC pool and won $100 as
the winner. And trust me, the only thing
that’s been wetter in recent memory has
to be Todd (Tonya La Pitts) at the TMC
who has been going with the flow.
Back to bears. The Dallas Bears
were certainly out of hibernation and
ready to party last Tuesday night when
they gathered to graze at Medieval
Times. It must have been the large
number of “specialty” drinks they
ordered — with the excuse that they got
to keep the glass. I understand Ellie
now has a service for 12, and that those
strawberry daiquiris sure went down
good! You can also be sure there was
plenty of food involved as well.
Everybody thought the Bear table
seemed fun — everybody except the
knight in green which they referred to as
Mr. Gumby. Knight Gumby referred the
Bears to his horse’s rear end. Ellie
matched that and raised him 10.
The Eagle landed. The Eagle
opened. And the reviews are great for
.Dallas’ newest leather/levi bar. The
action was hot there last weekend,
especially Saturday for Larry Arbo Let’s
just say he served a special cocktail for
Chris Gray of the TWT which left Chris
thirsty and hungry for more. And Larry,
you call that a swizzle stick?
“People, people who need people”
will need to listen closely to realize that
it’s not Barbra Streisand and it’s not
Memorex. It’s the extraordinary voice of
Cindy Harrelson sounding amazingly
Streisand-esque on stage at John L’s this
weekend. Cindy is a regular on the
stages of New York’s top clubs and will
be at John L’s this Friday and Saturday,
April 14 and 15.
Back in the slick, cool as steel back
bar, John L’s will be hosting a pool
tournament every Wednesday with a
$100 cash prize. Sign up by 7 p.m. and
remember: I have a lot of experience
playing on pool tables, and everybody
wins.
The winner at last week’s Mr.
Headquarters ‘95 was with my idea of
Tarzan — the man with a jungle fantasy,
Tommie Dodd J.D. Buchert whipped^
his group into shape and was the first
runner-up. Dean McBride emceed the
event.
They looked tasty and this Sunday
your meat will look tasty too. The
Headquarters (next to the Brick Bar) is
hosting an Easter Sunday cookout. Bring
you own meat (or someone else’s) and
come to the Headquarters beginning at 3
p.m. You’ll be full on the meat and the
Easter eggs, and you can celebrate the
full moon with the Headquarters’ Full
Rick and Adam are just two of the reasons Peter will hop straight down the Bunny
Trail to Big Daddy’s this holiday weekend. If you’ve got your Easter Bonnet on, you
should head to Big Daddy’s, too, to parade it across the stage in the Easter
Invitational.
