Self-hatred, pity,
depression
and loneliness; here they are
again, how did this happen? Why
do I always end up hack here?
What can the 19th treatment cen-
ter teach me that I haven't heard
before.
What I found at PRIDE was the
staff took the time to help me
become willing. I felt safe enough
to look into the real reason why 1
had these feelings. When I did, I
realized that it was not because of
the drugs and alcohol, it was
because of the way I felt about
myself.
I began to experience something I
hadn't in a long time.. .pride. I
never thought that was possible,
but with the PRIDE INSTITUTE,
and two years and two months
behind me, I look in the mirror
and see that inside as well as out-
side, I am a different person.
