he was advocating the Sher-

He said in that epppolf But

that the added volume shall be

QUERETARO MILLS
The Hercules Plant not Clos
ed on Account of Over-
production Litiga-
tion the Cause
A few days ago the report
was telegraphed throughout
the United States as well as
this republic that die Hercules
cotton mills at Qucretaro the
largest plant of its kind in the
country had been shut down
on account of overproduction
The press of the United
States at once made capital
out of the report and quoting
present
quantity of cotton and cotton
goods than ever before in its
history a Herald man yester-
day made inquiry into the
matter and learned that the
reason assigned previously for
the closing of the mills refer-
red to is erroneous The
facts are that the industrial
defendant in a suit brought by
the heirs of the Rubio estate
which claimed the property
I The court before which the
matter was brought for adjudi-
cation recently decided that
the claim of the Rubio estate
is weil founded and that they
may take possession of the
payment of a
property upon
certain sum of money in equi
ty to the industrial company
In view of this dicision the in-
dustrial company at once stop-
ped the mills and as the Rubio
heirs have not yet complied
with the terms of thel Judg
ment the plant at present re-
mains shut down
Those who ase jca otts of
Mexicos prosperity or who
have their own aims to further
by decrying this country will
undoubtedly be saddened by
the above intelligence but
they have only themselves to
blame for trying through false
methods to disprove the fact
that Mexico is prosperous
