Gladness Comes
With a better understanding of tho
transient nature of the many phys-
ical ills which vanish before proper ef-
forts gentle efforts pleasantcfforts
rightly directed There is comfort in
the knowledge that so many forms of
sickness arc not due to any nctual dis-
ease but simply to n constipated condi
tion of the system which tho pleasant
family laxative Syrup of Figs prompt-
ly removes That is why it is the only
remedy with millions of families and is
everywhere esteemed so highly by all
who value good health Its beneficial
effects are due to the fact that it is the
one remedy which promotes internal
cleanliness without debilitating tho
organs on which it acts It is therefore
all important in order to get its bene-
ficial effects to note when you pur-
chase that you have the genuine arti-
cle which is manufactured by the Cali-
fornia Fig Syrup Co only and sold by
all reputable druggists
If in the enjoyment of good health
and the system is regular laxatives or
other remedies are then not needed If
afflicted with any actual disease one
may be commended to the most skillful
physicians but if in need of a laxative
one should havo the beat and with the
wellinformed everywhere Syrup of
Figs stands highest and is most largely
Used andgives most general satisfaction

IN A SMALL CRAFT
Chicago 111 Nov 6 Cap-

around the world and Captain
Freitsch will uavigate her the

stalwart sailor of 33 years of
age and does not seem at all
alarmed at the piospect of
spending months alone in his
little craft on the ocean The
Srlilitz Globe will be towed to
the canal and started on her
long journey Her route will be
down the Mississipi to the Gulf
of Mexico and thence around
Cape Horn Sailingalcne across
