“The Desperate Hours’* for Week-
end- At-Colk\ge.

Joseph Hayes ibased upon his pap-
ular magazine serial and book-club
selection novel of the same name,
about the ordeal of a normal fami-

Frankly setting out to wrack the
nerves of its audiences “The Des-

hit when it was produced in New

as a movie starring the late Hum-
phrey Bogart as the leader of the
thugs and Fredrick March as the
head of the captured household —
roles to be played at Southwestern
by A1 Viola and Drexel Riley.

excitement. This thriller reminds

you of how in your impressionable
