of this was painted red and gold
with spider webs, angels’ hair,
and red trees growing around. At
the base of this artificial wall of
moss were erupting volcanoes
giving off smoke.
The ceiling was a huge spider
web with a twelve foot black, red
and golden spider crawling on it.
Amidst the luster of Milton’s
PARADISE LOST, some 150 peo-
ple danced the music of Tommy
Dodson and his orchestra. From
a punch table, decorated in red
and white to carry out the colors
of the evening, red sherbert float
was served as refreshments.
About mid-evening a program
centered around the evils of the
world was presented. David “Sat-
in” Lehmberg was judging the ac-
cused for the day while Roland
“Beelzebub” (the prince of the
devils) Folse was reminiscing in-
to past history. Both Beelzebub
and Satan agreed that the root
of the sins of the world was wo-
man.
The first example of this was
the scene betwen Gene “Samson”
Brack and David “Delilah’’ Rob-
ertson. Hazen Lewis sang the
background music while Delilah
soothed Samson.
John “Peppaea” Powell made
love to Frank “Napoleon” Tyson
while he sang “I Don’t Want to
Set the World on Fire”.
The modem evils of the world
were then demonstrated by Bob-
by “Roberta” Ford -and “Barten-
der” Thompson.' Marilyn Keeling
furnished the background solo for
the skit.
Bob Peacock, Sallie Falkenbu-
ry, and Don Wotfe then acted and
danced to “Slaughter on 10th Ave-
nue”. Charles Malesky was the
lucky young man |o win Bailie af-
ter the two jealous men had
kiled each other.
The climax of the pogram was
rhe Pni Chorus singing “O Those
Women, Those S’nful Women”
Each number of the program was
accompanied on the piano by
Mrs. Frances Hausenfluck who
gave a great deal of her time to-
ward making the program a suc-
cess.
(Mac Mathison, assisted by
Charlie Bur’on and Russell Van
Norman, was chairman of com-
mittee on arrangements for the
formal.

Library Gets r
Face Lifted
With Dr. York’s “Biological
Bees” complaining about plaster
debris and the generally broken
up condition of the library, it has
been rumored that the building
was gettin’ fixed up. Now it's no
rumor and besides it’s a pleasure
... to go to the library that is,
for the newly painted and plaster-
ed walls indeed entice many a
student into the channels of stu-
dy.
Mr. Rawley, head librarian is
going under the impression from
Dr. Finch that they plan to con-
tinue the work later on. The re-
decoration and repairs rendered
the Cody Memorial Library is
part of the work undertaken in
the Greater Southwestern Pro-
