The Port Aransas Mustang’s
Boys softball team won thf
Driscoll tournament and the
Girls took second place. The
boys score against London was
15-2 and against Driscoll, it war
18-8. The girls edged London
9-5 (Our Victory). The Driscoll
Dragon Girls beat our girls 14
8. All runs scored against the
boys totaled 12 in all the seasoi
games. The Mustang boys scor-
ed a total of 64 runs all season
Tuesday night the 8th, the girls
played a scrimmage basketball
game against “The Fat Mamas”
and won 38-12. More of these
Tuesday night games are schcd
uled, so stop by for the hyster-
ics.
After a slow start, the “A”
Band seems to be moving to
wards the first concert to be
held at the beginning of Novem-
ber. Most of the music will be
of popular variety with the
highlight being music from the
movie “The Sting.” Prepara

The first 6 weks of school
are completed and it has been
a busy and productive time for
the H. G. Olsen School Art De-
partment. Some of the activities
have been: finger puppets
hanger mobiles — 2nd grade-
paper strip sculpture and pic
ture postcards for the 3rd grad
ers; thumbprint storybooks am1
other object prints—^4th grade
and mosaics and dioramas for
the 5th graders. The 6th, 7th
and 8th graders have exper
ienced realistic rendering, ab-
straction, etc. The 7th graders
brightened the lunchroom with
