CEDAR HILL TODAY
Rec center seeking corporate sponsorhips
In a sneak preview held at the
new Cedar Hill Recreation
Center, more than 125 local
business owners were offered
their first glimpse of the con-
struction progress of the new
facility.
Cedar Hill Park and
Recreation Center staff gave
business guests tours of the exte-
rior and interior of the building
and were treated to a PowerPoint
presentation on the center’s
community and fitness features.
Business leaders were also
introduced to the centers
Business Rewards Program, a
recently launched sponsorship
initiative allowing businesses to
spotlight their services and prod-
ucts through the center's event
programs, website, displays, and
contractual naming rights to var-
ious rooms within the facility.
“We are offering businesses,
as well as organizations and
individual donors, a once-in-a-
lifetime, ground floor opportu-
nity to become a part of history
as this center approaches its
opening in the fall,” Cedar Hill
Park and Recreation Director
Steve Meadors said. “Any busi-
ness wishing to reach South
Dallas County’s active youth,
adults and seniors will want to
explore this unique sponsorship
opportunity.”
Recreational Superintendent
Sandy Martin said the center’s
programs, sAwices and facilities
will attract not only fitness-
minded youth, adults and
seniors, but also those looking to
book meetings, special events or
party space
In addition, the youth lounge
and game room is being
designed to ensure that children
ranging in age from 7-17 can
have a fun, safe and stimulating
place to go after school,
evenings and on weekends.
“Anyone wishing to position
themselves in the minds of kids
and families should definitely
explore sponsor opportunities
connected to the youth lounge -
before their competitors do,”
Martin said.
When asked about where the
sponsorship monies would be
allocated. Recreation Center
Supervisor David C'rabb
explained, “While our budget
allows ps to equip the center
with state-of-the-art fitness
equipment, furniture and audio
visual equipment, sponsorship
dollars will help pay for scholar-
ships to allow disadvantaged
youth and adults the chance to
participate in wellness and
recreational activities at the cen-
ter.
“ Sponsors who get involved
on the ground floor of the cen-
ter's development will have the
first opportunity to snatch up
and customize their Business
Rewards program to maximize
exposure, from on-site signage
to participation leading up to the
grand opening event in October.”
“We welcome
the involvement of
business, both large
and small, but we
also want to extend
these sponsorship
opportunities to ser-
vice clubs and indi-
vidual donors. 'Na-
ming Rights’ (the
chance to have one
of the center’s many
lounges, fitness
areas, meeting
spaces, etc.) dedi-
cated and named in
honor of your busi-
ness, product,
group, or,loved one
is offered at the
$50,000 Titanium
level on a ten year
contract."
Ci abb warned,
however, that these naming
opportunities are limited, and
anyone interested in any kind of
sponsorship should contact the
if.
