Interest in our nation^ Flag has al-
Ways been great and its significance is
best expressed in the words of the latě
Ghief Justice Charles Evans Hughes,
who said:
“This Flag means more than asso-
eiation and revvard. It is the symbol of
our national unity, our national en-
deavor, our national aspiration, It tells
you of the struggle for independence,
of union preserved, of liberty and un-
ion one and inseparable, of the saeri-
fices of brave men and women to
whom the ideals aiid honors of this
nation háve been dearer than liře.”
Out of respect to those who háve
handed down to us a great country
with a great Flag, we invite you to
join with us in displaying the Flag on
every appropriate occasion and in par-
ticular on Flag Day, June 14th.
