She was buried on September 28 from
the Church of St. Mary’s with Reverend
Psencik performing the funeral rites.
Our deceased sister Agnes came to the
United States when she was two years
old with her parents and was always
very active in her- community.
May she rest in heavenly peace.

In remembrance of our brother and
member of Lodge 148,
Frank Hlozek, Jr
we are giving you these datas of his latě
life.
He v/as born September 6, 1906, at
Čistem, Texas, and died on October 7,
1957, at Blessing, Texas, by a deplorable
accident.
■Surviving him is his wife Lillian and
one daughter Sylvia Hlozek.
Funeral Services were held at the St.
Peter’s Church, with the Reverend Vá-
clav Bily, officiating and our brother
was buried at the St. Peter’s cemetary
at Blessing.
He wcrked with his parents on their
farmt until 1934, at Elmaton, Texas and
later working at Freeport, Texas mov-
ing to Bay City.
He was secretary of Lodge Blessing
for nine years.
Our heartfelt sympathies to the be-
reaved family. May our brotheťs body
rest in peace.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Anna; Pon-
cik, 89, of near Ellinger were held at
the Jecmenek ehapel Monday morning
-at 9 -0’clock, last week, with Services be-
ing continued at the Hostýn Hill Cath-
olic church.
The Rev. Francis Kolár officiated, and
burial was in the Hostýn Hill Catholic
cemetery.
Mrs. Poncik, v/ho passed away at her
horné Friday last week, was born in
Europe on Jíme 27, 1868 She came to
this coirntry in 1002, and had resided- in
the Ellinger community ever since. Her
husband, Paul Poncik, passed away Feb.
15, 1950. One son also preceded her in
death.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ru-
dolph Foyt of La Grange and Mrs. An-
nie Hillman of Houston; six sons, Frank,
Bili and Jerry cf Columbus, Rt. 1, An-
ton of Ellinger, Joe of Sealy and Emil
Poncik of P.abhs Prairie; 22 grandchil-
dren and 25 great grandchildren. Our
heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved
family.

Funeral Services were held in the Lam-
precht Chap.el at 2:00 p. n:«. Saturday
for Mrs. Ad. (Julia) Bača, long-fcime
resident of this community, who died
at 8:10 p. m. Thursday, October 3, 1957,
at the age of 70 years, seven months
and 17 days. Rev. E. W. Dechert, pastor
of the First Míeťnodist Church, eonduct-
ed the Services, and burial íollowed in
Westside cemetery.
The deceased was born in Fayette
County February 16, 1887, a daughter of
Jaeob Jalufka and his wife Maria, nee
Olsovsky. On Mareh 13, 1887,. she was
baptized in St. Mary’s Catholic Church
in Praha by the Rev. Father F. C. Shea.
On November 17, 1908, she was United
in marri-age with Adolph Bača in York-
town, Justice of the Peace Charles Mcr-
tins performing-: the ceremony. Mr. Ba-
ča preceded her in death in 1918.
Survivors include a son, Julius Bača,
and a daughter, Mrs. Willard (Viola)
Hattenbach, both of Yorktown; three
grandchildren; three brothers, Willie Ja-
lufka of We.sthoff, Charles Jalufka of
San Antonio and Adolph Jalufka of
Yorktown; four sisters, Mrs. Theresa
Kubala of Hallettsville, Mrs. Lucille Hof-
man of San Antonio, Mrs. Mary Childs
of Garden Grove, California, and Mrs.
Lillian Miueller of San Antonio. Two
brothers, Joe and Eddie Jalufka-, and a
sister, Mrs. Minnie Kubala, preceded
her in death. Our heartfelt sympathy to
the family.
