SL Vice President Brother Hejny al-
so eomraented that we are doing good
business again in 1973. At this time, he
gave recognition to some of the out-
standing sales representatives of tlie
Application-a-Month and Week Clubs;
also to District II Sales Champion
Brother Cliester Shmoldas of Lodge 74
of Lovelady. Brother Hejny called the
attention to the fact, tliat Brother
Shmoldas and Brother Lad Zatopek
weres instrumenta! in rejuvenating a
dorniant lodge in tlie East Texas piney
woods, witli the assistance of other Su-
preme Lodge officers, Guest ‘speaker,
Brother Hejny also pointed out when
the Lovelady lodge was rejuvenated it
had only sixteen members, and its
present membership is 165. (This is
Wjliat determination will do),
Sister Alice Banning (4.7) was reco-
ognized for winning an expense-paid
trip to the Texas Fratemal Congress,
with Brother Chester Shmoldas (74)
being runner-up; and Brother Lad
Navrátil (87) winning a watch.
A standing ovation was given to
Brother Chester Shmoldas (74) who
was a recipient of three awards: Dis-
trict II Sales Champion ($404,000 in-
surance and 138 members), Application
ja-Week Club for 64 consecutive weeks,
and Applícation-a-Month Club for 16
consecutive months. Sister Anna Hejl
(48), widow of Brother Willie Hejl, re-
ceived a standing ovation also for her
sincere determination to carry on in
her husbanďs běhali. Sister Hejl re-
ceived a plaque for Application-a-Mon-
th Club for 108 consecutive months.
Brother Joe Hejny made all the pres-
entations of the awards.
Foliowing the awards, Brother Hejny
recognized Sister1 Norma Anděl (24),
head secretary in the Supreme Lodge
Underwriting Department, v/ho attend-
ed an underwriting course at the Re-
iPublic National Life Insurance Co., in
Dallas last fall, and she received a
certifieate in recognition of having
satisfactorily completed the preserib-
ed course in home Office underwriting;
he also praised her efficiency and loy-
alty in his department. Brother Jerry
Mikuláš, Jr,, hcad bookkeeper and Sis-
ter Irma Klinkovsky, secretary, both
employees of the Supreme Lodge, were
complimented for their efficiency by
SL Vice President Joe B. Hejny.
