Alois Dostalik, 88, passed away in
Crews Hospital in Gonzales on Jan.
15th. Interroent was in the Platonia
Catholic Cemetery. Brother Dostalik
was a member of SPJST Lodge No.
103, Flatonia.

passed away in a Taylor hospital on
Jan. 2’fjth. Interment was in Hjoly
Cross Cemetery in Granger. Brother
Reznicek was a member of SPJST

Business Administration degree in ac-
counting at the winter commencement
exercises at North Texas State Univer-

in Wharton on Jan. 26th. Brother
Polášek was a member of SPJST
Lodge No. 40, Hillje.

Frances H.utka, 92, passed away in
Temple on Jan. 25th. Burial was in the
Seaton Cemetery. Sister Hutka was a
member of SPJST Lodge No. 47, Sea-
ton.

Ltiwig Morris, 39, passed away in
Beaumont on Jan. 3rd. Burial was in
Nibletts Blufíf Cemetery in Vinton,
Louisiana. Brother Morris was a mem-
ber of SPJST Lodge No. 143s Inez.
William F. Hajek, 75, passed away
in Weimar on Jan. 8th. Burial was in
the City Cemetery in Schulenburg.
Brother Hajek was a member of SPJST
Lodge No. 67, Schulenburg.

Frank Kankrlik, executive chef of the
Statler-Hilton in Dallas, is resigning
from that position, effective Jan. 31st.
Before assuming his new position, he
is going to také a long much-deserved

THE JIM WALLEKS CELEBRATE
ANNIVERSARY
Mr, and Mrs. Jim Wallek, Sr., of the
Olmos Community near Skidmore,
Texas, will observe their 56th wedding
anniversary Sunday, Feb. 6th, 1968,
with a dinner given in their honor
by their children.
Julia Wallek, the daughter of Frank
and Annie (Simek) Sugarek, was born
on Jan. 16th, 1891, in Bee County,
Texas.
Jim Wallek, the son of Frank and
Annie (Sugarek) Wallek was born on
June 11, 1888, in Weimar, Texas. At the
age of 18, he moved to Bee County and
made that his horné, where he was
active in the farming industry until
1961, when he retired.
The couple was married on Feb. 6th,
1912, in Skidmore, Texas, by John
Calloway, Sr. Three sons and one
daughter were born to this marriage.
The three sons, Eldwin, Delphine, and
Jim, Jr., all of the Olmos Community,
háve all carried out the farming tra-
dition. The daughters, Mrs. Virginia
Breedlove lives in Bellaire, Texas. They
also háve nine grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren. Both are
members of SPJST Lodge 26 at Skid-
more, Texas.

LODGE NO. 14, VESELÍ
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
We v/ill háve our regular meeting
on Feb. llth in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Steve Kamas, beginning at 1:30
p.m. All members are urged to be pres-
ent, and visitors are always welcome..
Our annual Christmas party was
held at the home of Brother and Sister
John Pomykal the second Sunday in
December. The children were remem-
bered with gifts and bags of goodies.
Fach adult also received a bag of good-
ies. I will give a better report as soon
as I can get to it.

LODGE NO. 15, BlTCKHOLTs
Dear Members,
Lodge No. 15 held their first meet-
ing of the new year on Jan. 14th,
which was called to order at 2 p.m.
The minutes of the previous meeting
were read and approvcd.
Mrs. Annie Gresak was reported on
the sick list. We wish her a speedy re-
covery.
Mr. Johnny Mekush was accepted as a
new member in the lodge.
At this meeting, a motion was made
for the lodge to háve a candidate ral-
ly, but the motion was tabled for dis-
cussion until our next meeting. The
next meeting will be held Feb. llth,
beginning at 2 p.m.
