The Youtih Club also gave Sister
Ruth Krizan. a very beautiful dress,
decorated with many colorful flowers.
I will be going to school in a few

SOFTBALL. TEAM
Dear Brothers and Sis-ters:
Our softball season will open of-
ifielally Mcmday, April 15th. So far, we
háve organized our Monday Night
League and we will play on Samuel
Diamond No. 1.
The league is composed of Madewell
Electric, Friendly Chevrolet, The Dal-
las Obiefs, and SPJST Fraternal Iris.
We hope to organize a Wednesday
Night League and play twice a week.
LIcwever, the finál organizational
meeting was held Wednesday, April 10,
and by the next letter something def-
Inite will be reported.
We háve been holding workouts and
practices nearly every Sunday and háve
had about three night practices to
dáte. The team as a whole is beginning
to look pretty good; however, it looks
like our opposition will be reai strong
in our Monday Night League, and al-
so possibly in our Wednesday Night
League that, we hope to form.
VĚSTNÍK
Basically we háve about the same
players we had last yeai. All of us are
a year older, and wě háve four new
jplayers: Larry. Brennan, Mike Halí,
Adolph Janečka .and Glenn Williams
on this year’s team. We feel they will
all be an asset to our team this sea-
son. We are hoping to háve a most
enjoyable and fruitful season.
We simcerely hope that all of our
members and alsc- a lot of our friends
„come out to all our games and give us
•that moral boost whieh is so important
to the success of a team. We will be
looking ícr you, so do come, starting
with our first game Monday night,
April 18th and every Monday and
Wednesday night the rest of the sea-
son. A schedule of our games will be
published, probably in my next letter.

LODGE NO. 88, IIOIJSTON
Dear VestmiK R.eaaers:
The weather is warm-just like the
good ole summertime. This is ťhe tírne
of year we all like to see, for that
means going td the beach and picnics.
Here at Lodge 88, we háve not had too
much activity these last weeks
-of the Lenten season. However, the
yarious meetings were held every
week, and then of course, the Lodge 88
Sociál night event hekl every Thurs-
day night. E ve ryt, ne coming out has
had lots of fun. We hope to see more
of you come out for this occasion.
The children were treated with an
Easter egg hunt at the new lodge site
on Sunday aftern&on, April 7. They had
a grand time trying to find 30 dozen
eggs hidclen over two acres of .ground.
It was a beautiful day-just perfect for
the occasion. After ťhe hunt was over
everyone went to the halí where Sis-
ters. Annie Vala, Mary Fusig and Mary
Elzner served delicious hamburgers,
cakes, pastries and ccffee. The parents
enjoyed it as well as the children.
Sunday, April 21st tne Bistrict V

10 a.m. and then recess for lunch.

esting program.
From 6 until 9 p.m. there will be a
free dance, with music by the Herb
Coker orchestra. A well-known menu
17
ber of the band is Bro. Daniel Pavlas,
who playe.d in he operetta “Krajanku
Vrať se” last year here at'Lodge 88.
His íather was the direetor of the fa-
mous “Gold Chain Bohemian Band,”
that ušed to play here at Lodge 88,
and was so popular. We hope to see
all you members and friends come on
out and spend ťhe day and evening
with some good entertainment.
