Bear Members and Friends:
The reguiiar monthly meeting was
held on Sunday, Aug. 9tli at 3 p.m. The
meeting was co Hed to order by Presi-
dent Antone Pavelka. Youth Club
members led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Vis i tors welcomecl and recognized
were: Mír. and Mrs, Albert Baník, Mr.
and Mrs. Chuck Lassetter, Dorotky
Nesloni, Rose Wood, and Bili Hanu.
President Antone Pavelka askecl the
membeisliip to stand for a moment
of silence in memory of our departed
and beloved brother, John Krizan,
president of Lodge 6, Cottonwooci.
The minutes of the previous meeting
were read by Brother Secretary, Eu-
gene Pavelka. They were approved as
read.
Treasnrer’s report was submitted by
Brother Eugene Pavelka. The report
was approved.
The re were 6 new members ac-
cepted into our lodge. They are: Henry
Breitkreutz, Sr., lne z Breitkreutz, Don-
ald Ray Gerik, Sr., Theodore Joseph
Vicha, Denise Monroe Milner, and
Lawrenee J. Beralek.
Correspondence was read by ©eere-
tary Eugene Pavelka, A letter was re-
ceived from President Tím Kostom of
Lodge 88, Houston. The Lodge 88 mem-
bcrship is awaiting the opening dáte of
their new lodge halí. They are compil-
ing materiál for a souvenir program in
which they are urging everyone to par-
ticipate. A motion was mado and sec-
onded lhát we buy one-sixteenth of a
page in the form of a greeting.
A thank you notě was read from
Bister Ruth Krizan and family for the
floral tribute that was sent to the
funeral of Brother John Krizan.
Various committeemen matle reports
and they were all succcssťul.
Brother Vernon Wood, Chairman of
the Board of Trustees, requested that
all the trustees be present for a meet-
ing at the lodge halí on our next
meeting dáte. The time for the meet-
ing will be 2:30 p.m. Sept. 13, 1964.
On the sick list in July was Brother
Bdwin Holub who was hospitalized,
and Brother Vernon Wood, recuperat-
ed at home, but was ill for two weeks.
They were at the meeting' and we
are glad to see tilem doing nicely. Bister
Franees Zalman, mother of Brother
Rudolph Zalman, is on the sick list for
several weeks now. We do liope she
will be up and around very soon, Sht
is now confined to bed.
