vote for as many alternate delegates as
the lodge is entitled to.
ARTICLE 6
Only that member may be elected
delegáte or alternate delegáte who
(either) pays his premiums and local
lodge dnes and assessments regularly
and promptly, and has them paid at
the time of the election, or who has
his certificate paid-up in due course,
a certificate prematurely paid-up of
amount not less tlian $1,000.00. at the
time of the election, who complies with
Article 1-j, is present during the elec-
tion, or is absenfc due to unavoidable
circumstances, who has been a mem-
ber of his lodge at least 12 months be-
fore the election, attended at least ¥2
of the meetings of his lodge the year
before the election (between the two
annual meetings preceding the elec-
tion), is a Citizen of the United States
of America at the time of the election,
and who is not an insurance agent
(uuderwriter), officer or director, of
any competitive Old Line Life In-
surance Company, or an officer of any
Grand Lodge of any other Fraternal
Life Insurance Organization.
ARTICLE 7
a. The lodge elects its delegates and
alternate delegates in accordance with
Article 4, and no one can be elected
until lie receives a majority of the
votes cast by qualified members of the
lodge present during the meeting. Del-
egates and alternates are elected by
ballot. Ballots containing more or less
nominees must be declared void. (not
counted). All members present and
voting must vote for as many delegates
as the lodge is entitled to.

The regular convention is held once
every four years in compliance with
the Laws of the State of Texas.
ARTICLE 12
A speciál convention may be called
by the Supreme Lodge only when an
important matter arising between eon-
ventions concerning the materiál wel-
fare of the order cannot be resolved
through any other means. The purpose
for calling the speciál convention must
receive 2/3 votes of the members of
the Supreme Lodge during the meeting,
whereupon the Supreme Lodge for-
wards the proposition to everv local
lodge, where the majority of the mem-
bers present determine the issue. At
least 2/3 of the lodge must participate
in the voting to mako such election
valid. Then 2/3 of the delivered votes
determine the issue. Such convention
must be held in the city where the next
regular convention will be held, and
