These members of the Lodge 17 Youth Club presented a hilarious skit. Rear,

had charge; he was helped by Wanda
and J. D. Elzrner, Ray Dixon, and Jo
Ann Champion. Youth Director Emily
Mikeska and Mr. F. W. Stutevile of
Rogers and her children, Sandra and
Don Vrba, enjoyed this dance; we hope
you come again! Our hard-working
member, Frances Olexa, celebrated her
birthday at the dance, and several
others celebrated birthdays and anni-
versaries, but I didn’t get their names.
Some of the members helping at the
Thursday Spaghetti Supper are Evelyn
and Otto Mikeska, Ernie Hanka, Mr.
and Mrs. Ladik Barta, Tom Jecmenek,
Marian Mikeš, Bella and Joe Miksch,
and Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Jurchak.
There was a buneh of us who had a
balí at the Lee Roy Matocha Sunday
dance, and with as were Helen and Al-
bert Bryson of Needville; do come
again! Karen Brož, Jode Elzner, and
Kenneth Brož joined Lee Roy Matocha
in singing a Czech song, and they re-
ceived a big hand! Our talented vocal-
ist Helen Hegwood directed the youth
in singing at their Variety Show, and
they got the most applause on their
Czech song, which they really did well!
Alfred Hilsher is chairman of the
ticket sales for the turkey dinner on
Oct. 29th, and Annie Vala and Itasca
Cerny háve charge of the kitchen
helpers; call them if you can help.
Annie Vala, Ernie Hanka, and A. J.
Zalesky are the members of the Food
Committee for this dinner, and Low-
rina Lindemann has charge of pastry.
Henrietta and Eugene Veselka and
family enjoyed our Youth Variety
Show and the Lee Roy Matocha Dance;
it surely was good to see you! We had
th.e pleasure of meeting Haskell Cox,
brother of our chairman, of Califor-
nia; he visited at our lodge and was
quite impressed with our nice building.
The Zaleskys and the Evetts hope you
will be there for the Thursday Spag-
hetti Supper; it is only $1.00 for adults
and 50c for children! It is the famous
Norman Barnes and his Lamplighters
who play for the free dance following
the Czech plays on Oct. 29th! Presi-
dent Louis Hanuš hopes you will bring
your parents and your friends to the
'Czech plays. hecause the Dramatic
Club is working hard on these! Brother
Jaek Bača, who has been ill for 3 mon-
ths since a stroke, would be very happy
if his friends would visit ( 817 West
34th) him or call him (UN 4-8380).

Dear Members and Friends,
Lodge No. 48 held its monthly meet-
ing Sunday, Oct. lsť. The meeting was
called to order by President B. C. Stal-
mach. Minutes from the Sept. meet-
