elected Financial-Secretary and. he ac-
cepted.
Vice-Chairman Pokladník then an-
nounced that the floor was open for
the nomination for Attorney. Brother
Ernest J. Hanka (88) moved that
Brother August Kaeir be elected attor-
ney oí the S upřeme Lodge by acclama-
ti-on. Seconded. Carried.
Brother August Kaeir was declared
as elected Attorney and he accepted.

that the floor was open for nomina*-
tions for medical director.
Brother Otto Hanuš (66) moved that
Dr. Marvin Leshikar be elcted Medical
Director by acclamation. Seconded.

that Dr. Leshikar had been elected the
Medical Director and he accepted.
Vice-Chairman Pokladník announced
that the floor is now open for the no-
mination for Editor of the Věstník.
Brother Ed. Mazanec (66) moved that
we elect Brother Nick Morris by ac-
clamation. Seconded. Carried.
All of the offieers elected, as well as
all the nominees for the Office, ex-
pressed their sincere appreciation to
the delegates of this convention.
Chairman Sablatura reconvened the
convention and called for reports from

Sister Marie Cordray (62) Requested
that we give all of the out-going
directors and especially to Brother J.
M. Skrabanek (139) of Distriet No. 5,
who has devoted so much of his life
to the welfare and interest of the
SPJST, a standing ovation.
The delegates gave a standing ova-
tion to Brother J. M. Skrabanek. Broth-
er Ben Jarma (84) requested that the
delegation recognize the outstanding
work of the outgoing Distriet Director
-— Brother Robert Červenka for his
wonderful work and the 40 years that
he has spent in an official capacity
with the SPJST. The delegates gave a
standing ovation to Brother Robert
Červenka.
Brother Paul Sablatura, Chairman
of the Convention, announced that the
nominations were now open for Publi-
cations Committee. Brother Jos. Hola-
sek (36) made a motion that the three
members of the Publications Commit-
tee, who háve worked so faithfully for
the last 1'our years should be re-elected.
This motion was not votecl on. Brother
Hugo Schefcak (84) was nominated by
Brother Stanley Kaeir (87). Brother
Rudolph Troubil (29) was nominated
by Brother Reuben Lesikar (20). Sis-
ter Olexa (88) was nominated by Bro.

Louis Flanus (88). Brother Paul Sabla-
tura was nominated by Brother Chas.
Floly. (4). Brother Sablatura asked if
there were any more nominations, and
since there were no more nominations,
Bro. Paul Sablatura requested that his
name be withdrawn, and that brother
Flugo Schefcak and Brother Rud. Trou-
bil and Sister Frances Olexa be elected
by acclamation. The motion was sec-
onded and duly passed.
Brother Calvin Chervenka the Chair-
man of the Publicity Committee made
his report to the convention and the
recommendations of the Publicity Com-
mittee. A motion was made by Broth-
er Calvin Chervenka that the report
of the Publicity Committee bc accept-
ed as read, which was seconded and
accepted, and which is as follows:
Report of the 19th SPJST Convention
Publicity Committee
Sister and. Brother Delegates:
The 19th convention Publicity Com-
mittee has been composing and mail-
ing the SPJST Convention Report en-
titled “Daily Summary”1 for every day
of the convention thus far and it is
our intention to continue doing this
throughout the convention until the
adjournment dáte. A copy of each such
report is attached to and is a part of
this report.
Each of the ‘‘Daily Summary” reports
is mailed to 25 daily newspapers, 25
weekly newspapers, 6 Czech language
newspapers, 36 rádio stations, 3 tclevi-
sion stations, and 3 speciál eorrespon-
dents, making a total of 98 news media
outlets located in the SPJST area of
Texas. The mailing list for this distri-
bution is attached to and is a part of
this report.
Our committee wishes to express its
thanks to the convention secretarial
and printing staff, whose members are
Sister Dorothy Tomášek, Sister Irma
Klinkovsky, Brother Jerry Mikuláš, and
Brother Leonard Mikeska, for their ex-
cellent- cooperation and assistance dur-
ing tbe long and latě hours of work
necessary to accomplish this activity.
Wc are also grateful to Brother Frank
Klinkovsky who has voluntarily assis-
ted us in this activity.
In addition to the “Daily Summary”
mailing we háve reported newsworthy
devejopments to the local news media
immediately at the close of each morn-
ing and afternoon session and the con-
vention banquet. These reports háve
been directed to local newspaper, rá-
dio stations, and television stations of
