of the dance floor, Diana. Schnell and
Marian Kadíecek folded our announee-
ment letters about our lodge clean-up
da'y.: Mr; and Mrs. Jacobs, our friends
from Timber Grove Manor, danced as
if they wcre poured together. Pearl
Milscher dosed her eyes in dancing the
“Blue Skirt Waltz.” Where was W.
Manning, the president of the Timběr-
grove Civic Club? Weldon Hendricks
and sweet wi,fe danced to the entf
without a complaint about the weath-
or. Nick Morris our Věstník editor,
eanie out, in prepar.ation . for District
Talent Contest. Herman Liebscher and
wife Margaret .came through the Win-
dows and brought 30 couples with them
to hcar, the Knights of Dixie. Albert
Haas and E. Blume chatted about old
times and showed his worn out in-
Surance policy. Thé Šmoteks míssed
our dance. but made up for it by serv-
ing on the food line at the District
Talent Contest. The brown envelopes
caused all the wives great concern
about their husbands. Louise Kadíecek
was christéned by Louis Hanuš with his
elegant waiter Service. Glad to see
Mr. and Mrs. Bednař, and hope their
son comes and helps us with the clean-
up, day. Thanks for the table tips I
jeceived at the talent contest; it should
go a long way to pay off the lodge
debt. Mrs, Springer read the brown en-
velopc informatiou to her husband and

Jpnea, tlie strong boy, is getting in
shape for the clean-up' day August
23rd. Lil*ÍMi Kruše distributed ověř one
hundred donation books to the mem-
hers. at the District Talent Contest.
Annie Vala, as usual, spent long
hpurs in the kitchen.

coming : Saturday, August 15th, and

District V Talent Contest. L. to E. Donna Machami (88), ballet;
Doirna Schneil recited the Pledge oř Allegiance (88); Lynda Chrisfc
(81) twirled a baton. All thrce were in the age group 10-12. Lynda
won Ist plače, and Bonna Macbann won 2nd placc.
