TO THE MEMBERSHIF OF
DISTRICT NO. 3
Our Brother, Cyrill (Sid) Pokladník
published his announcement as candi-
tíate for the pesition of Director of
District No. 3 of our Slavonic Benc vo-
lení Order of the State of exas, to be
elected during the forthcoming con-
vcntion, to be held at Waco, Texas,
beginning June 15 of this year.
In his announcement, Brother Sid
Pokladník menticns his activity in
matters of importance to Lodge No. 84
and the SPJST as a whole. But his
other qualiíieations, those which be-
cause of his modesty, he dici not men-
t:.on, are cf much greater importance,
as they really fulfill the exacting du-
ti es of a Director in our Order.
Brother Sid Pokladník did not men-
tiom his extensive experienee in judging
reál estate, city and farní, uf which he
has consideuafole, including reparian
rights. His city reál estate consists of
downtown business buildings owned
solely by him or as a part owner, and
d.wellings, modest as well as preten-
tious, as well as considerable farní
acreage. This ownership and manage-
ment. of reál estate gives him the
ability to judge property values, so
necessary to any Director of our SPJST.
Lodge Pokrok Dallas No, 84 has ben-
efitted very much by his activity in re-
cruiting members for our Lodge and
the SPJST, but he never benefitted by
this activity, giving credit for writing
new members to other Organizers of
our Lodge.
Considering all these fine qualifica-
tions of this really active member, we
proudly rec-cmmenď Brother Sid Po-
kladník as Director of our SPJST and
member of the Supreme Lodge.
This reeommendation was unani-
mously aclopted during the Apríl 1964.
