“Bill” Burnett Oliver, 71, of
Mabank, are set for 2 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 31,2013,
following a visitation from
1 to 2 p.m., at the Fellow-
ship Baptist Church inAth-
ens, with Pastor Mike
Dean officiating under the
direction of Hannigan
Smith Funeral Home in
Athens.
Oliver was born Sept.
21, 1941, in Oklahoma
City, Okla., to Ruth
(Johnson) and John Will-
iam Oliver, and died Aug.
21,2013, in Mabank.
He was a faithful hus-
band to Elizabeth for ex-
actly 52 years and 11
months and she honored
him by holding his hand as
he was ushered into eter-
nity. He loved his family. He
looked forward to every
ball game, dance recital
and school function that he
attended for their grand-
children, great-grandchild
and many nieces and neph-
ews.
He was a husband, fa-
ther, PaPaBilly, Uncle Bill,
Mister Bill and loyal friend
to many. He was blessed
with family and friends.
He was passionate
about serving the Lord by
serving others. He was a
deacon and constant fix-
ture at Fellowship Baptist
Church where he could be
found mowing, fixing
something or lending a
helping hand. He espe-
cially enjoyed working
with the children in
AWANA.
He was also an avid
sportsman and competitor.
He was preceded in
death by his parents.
Survivors include his
loving wife of more than 52
years, Elizabeth Oliver;
daughters Tammy
Kesterson and husband
Terry of Grapevine, Julie
Sanford and husband
Kelly of Wills Point; son
Tim Oliver and wife Pydi
of Lindale; sister Sandra
Winans of Tahlequah,
Okla.; grandchildren
Aimee and Taryn
Kesterson, Hunter, Jarred
and Jacob Sanford, John
Oliver and wife Kathryn,
Randall and Colt Oliver;
great-granddaughter
Lauryn Songer; numerous
brothers, cousins, nieces
and nephews.

the Deacons at Fellowship
Baptist Church and friends

His family thanks the
doctors and nurses at
Methodist Hospital, Dallas
who waged a fearless
fight. Hospice of East
Texas was invaluable, as
they were able to manage
the pain and allow Bill and
the family time to make
more life memories in the
final weeks of his life.
In lieu of flowers, dona-
tions may be made to the
non profit, Hospice of East
Texas or Fellowship Bap-
tist Church inAthens.

Edwards was born
March 4,1952, in Dallas,
to Mickey Pearl
(Yarbrough) and Archie
Dean Edwards, and died
at his home in Mabank,
Aug. 25,2013.
He is preceded in death
by his mother, brother
Michael Dean Edwards
and his grandparents.

dren, seven great-grand-

Billy Kimbrell

Billy G. Kimbrell, 73, of

Kimbrell was bom June
30, 1940, in Sulphur

Wally Kimbrell, and died
Aug. 24,2013.
He was known as
“Boo” by his siblings and
“PePaw” by his grandchil-
dren.
He loved his sons,
grandchildren and his deer
lease. He enjoyed hunting,
watching John Wayne
movies, square dancing,
cooking and entering chili
cook-offs.
He worked in the con-
struction business for more
than 50 years.
He was Baptist by faith
and a member of the
Lakeside Baptist Church in
Tool, where he kept the
grounds. He was a caring
man, who will be missed
by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death
by his parents, brothers
J.W., Guy B. and Bobby
Kimbrell.
Survivors include his
wife, Jeannie Bane of
Payne Springs; sons
