Memorial services for
Chamous Darrell Savage, Sr.,
51, of Copperas Cove will be
held Monday, July 1, 2013 at
noon at Crawford-Bowers
Funeral Home in Copperas
Cove. Visitation will begin at
10 am.
Mr. Savage passed away
Monday, June 24, 2013 at his
home in Copperas Cove.
Cham was bom July 25,
1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii to
Robert Farrell and Elaine
(Cook) Savage. He was co-
owner of Savage Auto Parts of
Copperas Cove and has lived
here most of his life. He was an
avid and competitive race car
driver and also helped many
other competitors throughout
the years.
He was preceded in death
by his father on March 25,
2013. He loved car racing and
gardening.
Survivors include his wife,
Eaura Savage; a son, Chamous
Savage Jr., a daughter, Lindsey
Savage, his mother, Elaine Sav-
age , 2 sisters, Leslie Evans and
Lilly Gibson, all of Copperas
Cove, and numerous nieces and
nephews.

prayer breakfast
The Men's Community Wide
prayer breakfast will be held on
Saturday, June 29, at Hillside
Ministries, located at 2602 S. FM
116. The breakfast, prepared by
men of the church, will be served
at 7:30 a.m. and the prayer points
will begin at 8 a.m., promptly
ending at 9 a.m. All men and their
boys are invited to come and par-
ticipate in making a prayerful dif-
ference in their relationships and
in their city, state and nation. Pas-

Pontiac Sunfire stolen from Town Square Monday

The Copperas Cove Police
Department answered a call
firorn the 300 block of Town
Square on Monday at 1:39 p.m.
concerning the theft of a 2000
Pontiac Sunfire worth $3,700.
The police department was not
available at press time for com-
ment on this case.
Cove police responded to
three calls about burglaries of
coin-operated machines on
Monday. The first report came
in at 6:08 a.m. from the 1000
block of East Highway 190
where two doors were damaged
and money was stolen. The
total value assessed in the first
incident was $420. The second
report was made at 7:27 a.m.
from the 600 block of North 1st
Street where a machine was
damaged and money was
stolen. The total monetary
value assessed in this case was
$2,500. In the afternoon report
which came in at 1:41 p.m.,
$122.75 worth of money was
stolen from a location in
the 2700 block of East
Highway 190 where
nothing was damaged.
The CCDP assisted
the Killeen Police
Department in locating
a missing person in the
300 block of Ridge
Street on Monday at 7:41
a.m.
Cove police responded to
five accident calls on Monday.
The first was called in at
around 8:42 a.m. from the
intersection of East Highway
190 and Martin Luther King Jr.
Drive. The second and third
accidents of the day were
reported at 10:16 a.m. from the
500 block of Veterans Avenue
and at 1:28 p.m. from the inter-
section of Elm Street and East
Highway 190. The fourth acci-
dent was reported from the
2600 block of South FM 116 at
1:55 p.m. and the last was
reported at 2:50 p.m. from the
1400 block of Georgetown
Road.
Cory Jay Nixon
was arrested on
Monday at 5:35
p.m. for the theft of
a firearm in connec-
tion with an inci-
dent that happened
on May 21 in the 100
block of Bridle Drive
where a 22 Ruger rifle
valued at $1,500 was
stolen.
A residential burglary was
reported from the 1100 block of
Pecan Avenue at 4:27 p.m. on
Monday where a door and door
frame were damaged and a tel-
evision and money were stolen.
The total value assessed in this
incident was $740.
Jeremy Lee Deroy was
arrested in the 2500 block of
Post Oak Avenue on Monday at
8:22 p.m. for criminal trespass
that happened on June 22 in the
Walmart area.
Another residential burgla-
ry was reported on Monday at
10:22 p.m. in the 3100 block of
Yaupon Road. Nothing was
damaged in this incident, but a
couch, four house plants, a mir-
ror and a cooler altogether val-
ued at $840 were stolen.
The Copperas Cove Police
Department responded to a
report of a residential burglary
on Tuesday at 11:19 a.m. in the
1200 block of South 23rd Street
where nothing was damaged
but miscellaneous power tools
altogether worth $1,035 were
stolen.
Also on Tuesday in an
unrelated case, a burglary of a
residence was reported on
Tuesday at 9:24 a.m. from the
600 block of West Washington
Avenue where a door was dam-
aged and miscellaneous elec-
tronics were stolen. The total
value assessed in this incident
had yet to be determined at
press time.
A burglary of a vehicle was
reported at 11:10 a.m. on Tues-
day from the 300 block of Pinto
Drive where a door frame was
damaged and tower gauges
were stolen. The total value
given in this incident was $500.
The theft of miscellaneous
colognes altogether valued at
$845 was reported from the
1400 block of Pleasant Lane on
Tuesday at 11:42 a.m.
The Walmart area was
where a report concerning the
theft of a purse and its contents
worth $616.98 was made on
Tuesday at 4:09 p.m.
A burglary of a vehicle and
the theft of a firearm were
reported on Tuesday at 9:59
p.m. in the 300 block of Erby
Avenue. Nothing was damaged
in this case, but a 9 millimeter
Ruger handgun, money and a
Texas identification card alto-
gether worth $259 were stolen.
The Copperas Cove Police

at 4:17 p.m. at the police
department for aggravated rob-
bery that happened on Dec. 26
