games, horse-back riding, dancing,
card playing and a movie. Then there
are those extras!
For those of you who háve,never gone
to camp we thought we would
summarize just a few of those items that
made District I camp different and
speciál.
-The sun did shine and the wind did
blow a breeze-most of the time.
-Plenty of good food but why did
Cornelia get the paddle after Jeanette,
Štaci and Kathy the very first meal?
-Theresa Martin and Deidra Kocurek
promptly established their Oske family.
—Cabin 3 followed with the
Contestkey’s clan.
-Billy Budník was great with his little
boys. Billy never gets warm-always
fully dressed in long-síeeved western
shirt, jeans, western belt and of course
cowboy boots/a mile hike and not even
a damp shirt.
-Emil Kocurek hiked his group to
archery at 2 p.m. and said he didn’t
need any water either.
-What about that water fight
between the teenagers; at least that is
more acceptable than that ice cream
fight!
-Háve you had a chance to visit with
Jerry? He knows a little about every
subject-including girlsH
-Our life guard, Mark, became the
heart throb of all the little girls!
-Why did Robin get thrown in the
pool, clothes and all; then Melinda was
packed from the mess halí and pitched
in but how did Billy get all wet?
-Why did that one cabin of brave
boys háve light all night?
—What about that guy who caught the
little snake-and the guy who caught the
big snake-don’t you know that 10-12
girls do not likes snakes-neither do
Doris and Marlene!
—Anita Sebesta said the snakes didn’t
bother her but those two gorillas
Thursday night were a different story!
-Who let the gorilla in cabin 10 - it
breathed on George - what a hysterical
awákening! What did Dick know about
this?
-Who were tfc-ose extra girls who
came for supper Wednesday night and
proceeded to model their goods? Could
Mike win Miss Photogenic?
—Then there was the Walt Disney
costume parade.
—Are those monsters really on Mars?
-Melinda’s farewell scrapbook mo-
mento-Thanks for everything!
—Who were the bandits who
kidnapped Father Isidore Friday
dinner-masked faces, guns and horses
for the get-away! Next time bring a ropě
for your hostage’s horše so it won’t run
away from you!
-How did you answer the Easterling
Poli “Do you think the USA should
export chicken lips to Irán?” 4 a.m.
was not the best time for that question!
-UNO was the camp NO. I game -
took care of free time and nap time.
--Did Sandra win the UNO
tournament? or Kellen?
-Free time for Susan Trcalek was
Boggie time! Just how many contests
did you judge?
-Did that big fat lizard walk into the
cabin by itself?
-What kind of magazíne did Sue and
Melissa confiscate?
-What about those grasshoppers in
the showers?
-What tornádo demolished cabin No.
3?
-Was there a stranger in cabin 5 that
frightened the girls?
-Betty left too early to see the sand in
her bed-the other teenage girls decided
the sand on the floor was worse than the
sand in their bed.
-Dorothy Massey brought a tápe to
Vespers about the Cults. They are
friendly before they get you - not true
for Dorothy’s 2 poodles v/s Bowser-
almost had a full-scale dog fight!
—How many fingers got burned on
the donuts?
—Then came the Indians. We silently
watched them light the camp fire and do
their ritual-but who expected a war path
to run through the camp cookout!
-What does Marlene know about the
prowler around cabin 4 Friday night?
