Fraternal Affairs
Section
Lodge 32, Victoria, will host a
Child Abuse and Neglegt Pro-
gram for area lodges Wednes-
day night, January 4 at the Citi-
zens National Bank on N. Navar-
ro in Victoria. The program will
begin at 7:30 p.m.
Thelma Hrncir, SPJST Pro-
ject coordinator, from Corpus
Christi will present the program,
assisted by Matt Vaněk, District
VI director, and workers from
the Texas Department of Human
Resources headed by Susan De
Wolfe, Program Director for the
Victoria area. The SPJST film,
“Other People’s Children,” will
be shown and workers will ex-
plain ways citizens of the com-
munity as well as SPJST lodges
and members can become involv-
ed in helping these unfortunate
victims of abuse and neglect.
AU interested members of the
lodges in the area are cordially
invited to attend the program.
Lodge 29, Taylor, will host a
Child Abuse and Neglect
Program Friday night, January
13 at 7:30 p.m.
Lodge 66, Waco, will host a
similar program Sunday,
January 15 at 2 p.m.
Everyone is cordially invited
to attend each program.

Lodge 13, Dime Box
Meets January 15th
Dear Readers:
Our last monthly meeting was
held Sunday, December 18, 1983.
President Claude Flippin called the
meeting to order at approximately
2:05 p.m.
Sistěr Penny Spitzenberger led us
in the Pledge of Allegiance. Follow-
ing the pledge, we had roli call of
officers with nine present and four
absent.
Sister Dorothy Rackel then read
the minutes of the last meeting.
Sister Magdelene Iselt was not
present to give the financial secre-
tary’s report, which Sister Dorothy
Rackel gave and then Sister Doris
Balcar gave a treasurer’s report. All
of the above reports were approved
and accepted as read.
Lodge 13 of Dime Box would like
to welcome three new members to
our lodge; námely, Darrel Iselt,
Jason Blaha and Andrea Blaha.
President Claude Flippin read the
beautiful Christmas Greetings from
the Supreme Lodge which added a
warm Christmas glow to our lodge.
For old business, everyone was
reminded of the convention that will
be held June 17 through 20, 1984 in
Corpus Christi, Texas.
A reminder for all members and
guests: A FREE DANCE JAN-
UARY 8th will be held, with music
provided by the Melanger Combo
Band.
A discussion was held on the price
of the tickets at the dooř for New
Year’s Eve -dance for Saturday,
December 31, 1983. The discussion
consisted of the price of tickets
should we raise the price and how
much. The decision made was that
tickets be raised to $5.00 for the
New Year’s Eve dance, with music
by The Moods.
Under new business Mr. Clint
Luksa from Lodge 186, Caldwell,
came to our meeting to install the
1984 local lodge officers. We thank
you, Mr. Luksa for your time.
We also discussed the resignation
of Patti Tydlacka who was on the
Entertainment Committee. Sister
Monica Špaček was elected to také
over for the Entertainment Com-
mittee, along with Brother Arnold
Tydlacka.
Dooř prize winners were: lst-
Darrel Iselt, 2nd-Arnold Tydlacka,
3rd-Alvin Horák.
Next monthly meeting will be at 2
p.m. Sunday, January 15th. I hope to
seeyouthere!
