Menger Hotel, Lobby Facilities and
swimming pool area. Snaeks, cash bar.

Monday, June 9th
8:15 a.m. Memoriál Services at the
Alamo, dedicated to all deceased
members of the SPJST who gave their
lives ťor their country in all wars and
conflicts. The laying oťthe wreath at the
Alamo vvith the band and Honor Guard
participating. Group pictures of the
delegates to be taken following the
Services.
10 a.m. Opening of the convention at the
Convention Center Banquet Halí No. 2.
The entrance of the Honor Guard and
placement of the flags. Master of
Ceremonies Dominie Netek leading the
delegates in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Welcome address in English by president
ofthe host lodge, Emil Matula. Welcome
address in Czech by Dominie Netek.
7 to 11 p.m. Dinner and dáncě party at
La Villita Assembly Halí. Music by
LeeRoy Matocha Orchestra, Fayetteville.

William Smart, a Civil War veterán,
reared six motherless children with’
devotion and kindness. His daughter,
Mrs. John B. Dodd, wanted to honor
him in soine way and Fatheťs Day was
born; in June, 1910, through herefforts,
the new day was observed for the First
time in Spokane, Washington.
