Lodge No. 36, West
At its regular meeting on February
23, SPJST Lodge West No. 36 voted to
contribute $500 each to the West
Community Hospital and to the West
Ambulance Association.
It is the policy of Lodge West to
support worthy causes and important
community organizations and in the
past two years has donated funds to
the West library Association, the
West Czech Folk Dancers, the Sokol
Gymnastic Association of West, and to
Czechoslovakian orchestra Podlužan
on their tour of Texas last year.
Lodge No. 36 also contributed
$1,000 to the Czech Educational
Foundation to help establish a
permanent Czech Chair at either the
University of Texas at Austin or Texas
A&M University.

Lodge No. 66, Waco
February Meeting
Dear Members:
Our regular monthly meeting was
called to order at 2:30 p.m. by
President Mary Alice Langlotz.
Flags were presented by Alicia
Neslony and Ashley Locke. The
Pledge of Allegiance was led by
Sandra Trickett and Lodge Motto by
Alicia Neslony,
All officers were present.
The minutes of our previous
meeting were read by Sister Bonnie
Pruitt and were approved. She also
stated that there will be two members
getting their 50 - year pin. Ihey are
Sister Emma Česka and Brother John
Kofhovec. There was a discussion and
they will be honored at our regular
meeting in May.
Minutes of the Board of Truste es
meeting were read and approved.
The Entertainment Committee
report was that members are asked to
bring sandwiches for our March 18th
meeting and the committee will
provide desserts and coffee and the
lodge will furnish drinks.
Brother George Pauling gave the
fraternal activities report; our Straight
Domino playoffs are in progress and
fkjti our “42’ ’ Domino playoffs will start on
■ rTrr' March 5th, so if you are interested in
playing, please come.
The District III spring meeting will
be Apríl 29th in Burleson. There will
be horše shoe pitching and quilt
contests. Members are asked to
attend, if possible.
There were thirteen members of
Lodge 66 who attended the Officers’
Works hop by Supreme Lodge and
hosted by Lodge 24, Cyclone on
February 24th, which was very
imformative. We thank the Supreme
Lodge and Lodge 24, Cyclone for their
hospitality and making this event
possible.
New members are Bryan Stephen
Nors and Rose Mary Spence (second
policy).
Sick List Report: Get well cards
were sent to Dorothy Moore, Allene
Wright, Louis Macha and Leslie
Dungan. His new address is Goíden
Years Nursing Home, 605 N. Hwy.
290, Elgin, Texas 78621. We wish
them a complete and speedy recovery.
Our Youth Leader Gladys Yates
reported that the club donated money
to Caritas, Meals - on - Wheels, and
Salvation Army. She also thanked for
all the help they get in the kitchen.
The Valentine boxes that the youth
made were given as prizes to
members.
There will be a collection for the
Family of Abuse Thrift Store; you may
bring your canned or unperishable
food to our next meeting.
There was a donation of $200 to the
Lighthouse For The Blind.
Dooř prize was won by Brother
Arthur Langlotz.
Birthdays for the month of February
are Jamie Williams, Kelsey Bouska,
Ray Orsag, Lucille Červenka, Bennie
Engelke, Annie Sanders and Amanda
Neslony. The birthday cake was
brought by Justin Engelke,
With no further business the
meeting was adjourned.

Active Members Learn More About Their
Fraternal Activities!
Lodge No. 87,
Temple
SPJST Lodge 87, Temple held their
regular meeting Friday evening,
February 9th at 7:00 p.m. with
President Ladis Navrátil presiding.
The meeting was called to order;
Lad Zátopek led the lodge in reciting
the Pledge of Allegiance, also a silent
tribute was paid to deceased
members.
Dorothy Chervenka read the
minutes of our previous meeting, also
correspondence was read and
discussed.
Mary Ann Zatopek gave her report,
Pam Sedita Capps was accepted into
our lodge, also additional insurance
for William Charles Neiser. A warm
welcome to these members.
Vice President Jerry Valchar gave
the activity report. Vlasta Jez will
represent Lodge 87 in the Tarok
Tournament. Brother Valchar also
mentioned the officers’ seminars to be
held February 24th in Cyclone, Texas
at the SPJST Halí.
Foílowing the reports, President
Navrátil introduced speciál guests
SYD Claudette Reese from Supreme
Lodge and her children, also her
daughter; Pam Sedita Capps, and
daughters. We enjoyed their visit and
hope they will visit our lodge again,
soon.
Members to receive 50 - year pins
for the calendar year 1990 are Charles
B. Caughlin, Jr., W.B. McDonald, Jr.
and Joe Thomas Surovik.
Ladis and Mary Ann Zatopek were
hosts for the February meeting,
George and Millie Schiller will be
hosts for the March meeting to be held
Friday evening, March 9th at 7:00
p.m.
Get well wishes are extended to all
convalescing.
Millie Schiller was a guest.

San Antonio
SPJST Lodge 133 will hold a dinner
tocelebrate the 73rd anniversary of its
founding on Sunday, March 18 at St.
Margaret Mary Activity Center, 1314
Fair Avenue, San Antonio, Texas.
The dinner will be served at 12:30
p.m. Our lodge will provide the meat
and members are asked to bring a
vegetable dish and a dessert.
On this occasion, members are
asked to bring any visítors who might
be prospective members of Lodge 133.
There will be no charge for guests
attending the dinner, but members
who invite guests are asked to bring
enough food for any additional person.
