Reports on
Christmas Party
The Fayetteville SPJST Lodge 1 held
a joint Christmas Party with the
Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce on
December 15, 1996, at 6 p.m. at the
SPJST Hafl in Fayetteville with approxi-
mately 90 members and guests. Despite
the inclement weather which consisted of
drizzling cold rain and gusty cold winds,
everyone had a wonderful time.
Fried turkey, baked turkey, and baked
ham were provided by the Chamber and
SPJST Lodge 1 and everyone brought a
covered dish and delicious desserts, all of
which were enjoyed by all. Forget diets
this time of year, just add on to New
Year’s resolutions. Iťs an excellent
opportunity to swap recipes also as you
get to sample so many goodies!
Santa, all decked in his attire, brought
stuffed animals and gifts for the children
and dooř prizes were presented to the
adults, some of which were beautiful cen-
terpieces made by Kim Kovar. Everyone
had a great time and were able to stay
fairly warm.
A business meeting was held by
Lodge 1 after the party and they voted to
give $25 to the 100 Pennies Scholarship
Drive. The meeting adjourned and
everyone dispersed. The next meeting is
to be announced.
