Lodge 185
(Continued from p. 12)
fraternal activities performed during
1991 and 1992.
Youth Leader Theresa Haag intro-
duced guests SYD Joni Lange and Dis-
trict VII DYC Maxine Pavliska. Sister
Haag reported that a Christmas basket
prepared by the youth went to the
Woods, who were overjoyed to receive
both the basket and the visit from the
children. She encouraged lodge mem-
bers to call or visit the Woods and
other members who are home-con-
fined. Camp dates for 1992 háve been
set for July 13-16.
SYD Joni Lange gave a brief report
regarding the Mr./Miss SPJST contest.
She also informed the membership that
there will be a little Mr./Miss SPJST
contest at the District level for those
who are interested in participating.
The election of a delegáte for the
convention was the first issue under
old business. Dwight Doeppenschmidt
was elected; substitute is Diana Koeh-
ler.
Other items discussed under old
business were drinks at meetings, flag
poles in bad repair, and the District
VII spring meeting to be hosted by
Lodge 185.
Under new business, President Roy
Haag briefly went over some of the
items of interest in the new book,
"SPJST LOCAL OFFICERS HAND-
BOOK," recently issued to lodge of-
ficers. He also remarked that
November 1992 would be the 15th an-
niversary of Lodge 185 and suggested
planning a celebration to com-
memorate this event,
It was suggested that Lodge 185
propose the following changes to the
By-Law Committee to present at the
convention:
1) No DYC should also be a youth
leader, as this is a conflict of interests.
2) The financial secretary’s or
treasureťs report should be moved up
in the meeting agenda to immediately
after the reading of the minutes.
The financial secretary’s report was
given by Ernest Jašek.
Dooř prize was won by Ernest Jašek.
Meeting was adjourned by President
Roy Haag at 8:50 p.m.
Fraternally,
Susan Bohnenberger, Secretary
