Deer Hunters: Here's Something for You!
The SPJST will again sponsor its
annual Deer Antler Contest. Ónly SPJST
members are eligible to participate in this
contest. Two $50 prizes will be awarded.
One prize will be presented to the
hunter whose deer
has the widest horn
spread (measured
from the outside to
outside of horns).
The other prize will
go to the deer with
the most points
(must be able to
hang a ring on it to
be qualified as a
point).
To enter the contest, hunters must sub-
mit a photograph of the deer along with
the contest entry form appearing on page
three of the Věstník. The form must be
completed and signed by a game warden,
highway patrolman, sherifř or public offi-
cial.
This contest applies only to Texas
white tail deer.
Your entry must be postmarked before
January 31, 1996,
to qualify.
The generál
white tail season
began on
November 4 and
will run through
January 1. The
South Texas season
will run a week
later, starting on
November 11 and
running through January 7.
As always, také care to observe safety
rules when hunting. Best wishes to all
hunters for a successful season.

Offícers at this meeting.
